Well, we've made it through the summer. We've entered the world of Zoom and living outside. Now the days grow shorter and colder, as we begin to hunker down together for the cozy months ahead.
As we head into the fall and winter, you're all doing an amazing job, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our Evolve community.
We have implemented some new systems to begin expanding our safe service options, and now offer three ways to work together: indoor, outdoor and remote:
Indoor sessions – Indoor meetings are available in accordance with the state guidelines. We will maintain safe distancing, we will continue stringent hygiene protocols, including thorough sanitizing of equipment and hand-washing and hand sanitizer between every usage. Trainers are required to wear masks, and it's strongly encouraged for clients to wear one, as well. There will be no charge for cancellation of sessions if any sign of illness, fever or possible recent Covid exposure are present.
Outdoor sessions – Many of our clients have discovered the joy of outdoor training! We will continue to offer this option into the fall and winter, with the same safety protocols in place as our indoor sessions. We bring the equipment
Remote sessions – This has been a great option and will continue to be offered indefinitely to all our clients, both in Portland or wherever you may be!
We will continue to proceed with care, keeping everyone safe is our top priority. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns. We’re always here for you and feel grateful that we can adapt services to continue supporting your health. Movement is medicine!
Love from all of us,
Lisa, Elijah, Shannon, Jenny, Janet, Lauren, Jen, Alexis & Melinda
To our Evolve community,
We love you all and are so grateful for you and for the work we get to do in support of your health. Our world is facing an unprecedented circumstance, with the spread of COVD-19. Up to this point, as you know, we have implemented extra hygiene steps and limited our focus to one-on-one sessions in an effort to continue offering services to all of you. We care about you very much and these are difficult decisions. But it has become increasingly clear that more extreme social distancing is imperative if we are to flatten the curve.
In order to do our best to support our larger public health goals, as well as the individual safety of all of you and of our employees, Evolve will pause on-site, in-person training sessions for the time being, and shift to live virtual training sessions and written programming until things settle down.
Effective today, we will be able to continue offering live workouts via Zoom, Hangouts, or FaceTime, and/or we can arrange to email written programming and workouts to you.
If you prefer to take a pause on training and resume when life returns to normal, then we are here in spirit and as a resource! Exercise is a valuable and important part of keeping your body and immune system strong and your spirits elevated. We welcome your check-ins and reports if the accountability is helpful!
This is a challenging time for everyone, and social distancing can take a toll. It will be important to find alternate ways of connecting with others and of maintaining healthy habits. We are here to offer encouragement, answer questions, cheer you on, and yes, to take you through great workouts via virtual platforms.
We are all in this together. While it is challenging and scary, there is also an inherent opportunity to slow down, reflect, reach out to one another, care for our bodies and our minds. Read, meditate, hug your loved ones, draw, watch a great movie, eat simple, healthy food, get fresh air and sunshine when you can.
If you would like to continue with virtual sessions, they will be offered at a reduced rate. If we can support you in other ways, please let us know. We are here and we welcome your ideas!
Stay calm and focused, and love one another... we will all get through this, and we are stronger together.
We hope to see you virtually or in person very soon,
xo Lisa, Maddy, Elijah, Jenny, Shannon, Janet, Lauren and Jen
Dear EVOLVE clients,
As always, the health and fitness of our clients is our top priority. As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments, we are monitoring the updates daily to assure we are taking all necessary steps to keep everyone healthy.
Our trainers are following and will continue to follow all CDC and Oregon Health Authority guidelines. This includes thorough hand washing and use of approved hand sanitizer before and after all sessions. Additionally, we're sanitizing our equipment before and after each session with CDC-approved antiviral disinfectants. Lastly, as much as we love each and every one of you, we're going to have to refrain from hugs and handshakes for the time being :)
What can you do to stay healthy and keep your family and community healthy?
• Reschedule if you're feeling sick and focus on rest and taking good care of yourself.
• Wash your hands using hot, soapy water for at least 20 seconds, after contact with others and upon returning home. This is the best way to control transmission among healthy adults.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth..
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, or at the very least into your elbow.
• Keep your immune system strong. This means good sleep, proper hydration, regular exercise, eating a healthy, well-balanced diet and limiting sugar intake and processed foods.
